સૂર્ય દર્શન
વર કન્યાને સૂર્યનું દર્શન કરવાનું કહે...
ॐ तत्चक्षु र्देवहितं पुरस्तात् शुक्रमुच्चरत्
पश्येम शरदः शतं जीवेम शरदः शतम् |
श्रृणुयाम शरदः शतं प्रब्रवाम शरदः शतम्
अदीनाः स्याम शरदः शतं भूयश्च शरदः शतात् ||
હે સદા જાગૃત પરમેશ્વર ! તું અનાદિથી સૌનો માર્ગદર્શક અને હિત કરનાર છે. અમે તારી કૃપાથી સો વર્ષ જોઇએ, સો વર્ષ જીવીએ, સો વર્ષ સાંભળીએ, સો વર્ષ બોલીએ, સો વર્ષ દીન ન થઈએ અને એવી રીતે સો વર્ષથી પણ વધારે જીવીએ.
Oh all conscious supreme God ! You are the guide and benefactor to all of us. Let us have your grace to live for hundred years, let us see for hundred years, let us hear for hundred years, let us speak for hundred years, let us not be poor for hundred years, and like that let us live for more than hundred years.
